The Superscription, according to Matthew
Introduction
Two days after 9/11, firemen dicovered a cross in the ruins of the north tower, the remains of two intersecting beams. The cross came to symbolise the grief of many people at that time and is now on display in New York as a memorial to those who perished on that day. It would seem, however, that this particular cross had a larger, more universal meaning than may previously have been attributed to it.
In the page The Day Of The Lord, I showed evidence I had gathered from the huge cluster of synchronicities surrounding the terrorist attacks on September the 11th, 2001, and from related gematria, that this apocalyptic event announced the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. In the page The Sign Of The Cross, I showed how the Bible contains an encoded numerical ‘cross’, that marks the site of a major 9/11 prophecy. Here I show that 9/11 was the first act in a two-part drama, with an eschatologically-meaningful interlude of three-and-a-half years. These events, taken together, symbolise the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Cross
The targets of the 9/11 attacks were properly called The World Trade Centre and The Pentagon. I previously showed that these names have ordinal values that imply two numerical cubes, one of which is contained within the other. These are displayed again below.

Therefore the two buildings at the centre of the 9/11 drama appear to encode cube 343 and its basic internal structure. Cubes are symbols of holiness and perfection, which is why the Most Holy Place in the Tabernacle was cube shaped. This symbolism will make perfect sense in a moment, so please keep it in mind.
The action of ‘shelling’ the cube to reveal a smaller internal cube is the first step towards unfolding a symbolic message that sheds new light on the 9/11 tragedy.

It’s difficult to resist the notion, therefore, that the monolithic twin towers, designed to dominate the New York skyline, symbolised the stake and crossbeam of a cross. Moreover, there is further supporting evidence for this idea in English gematria. The twin towers were individually named the North Tower and the South Tower (these names are on the architect’s plans for the WTC complex). As if to underline the point that these towers represented a cross, the summed ordinal values of ‘the North Tower’ and ‘the South Tower’ give the exact number of units required to surround cube 343 to create a larger shell—which also opens out to form a cross!

By simply summing the ordinal values of the proper names of the 9/11 targets, we have created a series of nested cubes, building up to the cube of 9, with 729 units.

729 is the triple expression of nine, the biblical number of endings, finality, judgment, fruits and suffering. These are ideas that resonate with both 9/11 and the crucifixion. Therefore the 9/11 targets strongly correlate with the idea of a cross through gematria, visual symbolism and biblical numerics.
To complete this section, I should mention one final discovery. I stated in the previous page that the usual English translation of the name of the man held responsible for 9/11, Osama bin Laden, had an ordinal value of 110, and so it is also codemarked with the key number 11. (1) The standard value of his name should leave you in little doubt as to the meaning of the event he is supposed to have orchestrated.

The Superscription
This interpretation finds biblical support in what appears to be an astonishing encoding within Matthew 27, the very chapter containing the first account of the crucifixion. Verse 37 gives us the first version of the superscription, the charge laid against Jesus, which was pinned above Jesus on the cross.

The number 343, remember, is the cube of 7. As I said, cubes are symbols of holiness and perfection; so it is highly appropriate that a cube appears to be encoded here, within the first verse giving the charge made against the Son of God! In fact when we look more closely at these words, we find further encoded numerical cubes:
1. The number of words and letters are 8 and 27, the cubes of 2 and 3.
2. The sum of the chapter and verse numbers, 27 and 37, is 64, the cube of 4.
3. Their product, 27 x 37, is the repunit 999, expressing the ideas of a cube and judgment.
So this version of the superscription is hallmarked with the holiest of all objects, the cube. But the Superscription sat atop the cross on which Jesus was nailed. Moreover, as I just showed, all of these cubes have outer shells that open out to the shape of a cross. Therefore the Crucifixion of our Lord appears to have been symbolised here by means of the twin motifs of the cube and the cross, neatly packed in the numerical cube which opens out to become a cross. The cube represents holiness, the cross represents the instrument of the Holy One’s death. The fact that the 9/11 targets appear also to have been marked with the same cube-and-cross motifs - these being suggested by the gematria of all three targets and their geometric representation - can only lead to one conclusion. But lets look at the rest of the evidence before we state it.

If we now work out the ordinal value of the entire verse we come to the crux of the matter. Remember that Jesus was crucified on the eve of the Jewish festival of passover.

Staying with gematria for a minute, in Signs Of The Times I showed how the number 11 is the master key for unlocking the meaning of 9/11. The words ‘crucified’, ‘crucify’ and ‘crucifixion’ have standard values that incorporate the number 11 and are also important numerical values for phrases related to Jesus Christ and His Second Coming.

Finally, if we read the chapter and verse numbers as a single number, 2737, we find that this is 391 x 7. As explained in The Sign Of The Cross and elsewhere, 391 is another key number in the New Bible Code, being the standard value of the Hebrew word meaning ‘Jesus’, the English words ‘Second Coming’ and ‘building one, building two and building seven’ - which together encapsulate the message of the New Bible Code! This Is Jesus
I recently (10/09) made another discovery that appears to further verify the ‘Crucifixion’ interpretation. The first part of the Matthew version of the Superscription reads:

These words have an ordinal value of 158. What I discovered on the numerically significant date of 12/10/09 is encoded in the number of minutes between each of the twin towers being hit and their subsequent collapse. The timeline is as follows:
8:46AM - the North Tower is struck
9:03AM - the south tower is struck
9:59AM - the South Tower collapses
10:28AM - the North Tower collapses
The North Tower stood for 1 hr 42 minutes after being struck, which is 102 minutes. The South Tower stood for 56 minutes after being struck. These numbers sum to 158, the same as the ordinal value of the phrase ‘THIS IS JESUS’. Even more remarkable than that, though, is the fact that the two numbers mirror the internal structure of the phrase.

Could it be that even the impact times and the fall of each tower were predetermined? If so, the code is directly signalling that the twin towers represented Jesus Christ.
The rest of the Superscription has the same ordinal value as the World Trade Centre, without its definite article (the):

All this suggests that in the 9/11 drama, the World Trade Centre, in particular the twin towers, played the part of Jesus Christ.
The Wounds Of Christ
The cube remaining when the outer shell is removed from cube 343 is cube 125, representing the Pentagon. Here it is again.

Note that 125 is the cube of 5 and therefore the triple expression of ‘fiveness’. As I showed in Signs of the Times, the Pentagon building is watermarked with the number 5, both through the gematria of its name and through the features of its design.

1. The Pentagon building, seen from above, is a perfect pentagon, a regular five-sided figure.
2. As can be seen from the picture, the Pentagon building is made of five concentric pentagons.
3. The Pentagon has five floors.
4. The ordinal value of the word ‘Pentagon’ is a pentagonal (five-sided) number:

There can be little doubt, therefore, that the Pentagon (work on which officially began on September the 11th, 1941) is encoded with the number 5 and its geometric expressions and that this is an integral part of the symbolic message that has been woven into 9/11. In biblical numerics the number 5 represents grace and heavenly favour. Bearing that in mind, what does the Pentagon then symbolise?
The pentagon and related pentagram have many symbolic associations. For instance, in Pythagorean mysticism the pentagram represented the human being, with five points: the head, arms and legs, a relationship famously depicted by Leonardo da Vinci, in The Vitruvian Man. However, in Christian symbolism, the pentagon and pentagram are associated with the five wounds received by Jesus Christ as he was crucified. These were the wounds to his two wrists, his two feet and his side. Wikipedia has this to say about the pentagram (3):
“Christians once commonly used the pentagram to represent the five wounds of Jesus, and it also has associations within Freemasonry.”
If 9/11 did indeed represent the crucifixion, the attack on the Pentagon itself, which produced partial rather than total destruction, would symbolise the wounding of Christ on the cross by the soldier’s spear. The Bible’s single mention of this incident is John 19:34.

Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.

This is stunning confirmation of the true significance of the strike on the Pentagon! (4).

The Pentagon and Jesus Christ
However, the association of the pentagon and pentagram with Jesus Christ is most clearly viewed through the lens of gematria.
1. The standard value of ‘Jesus Christ’, as well as being a diamond number, is also a pentagonal number.

2. The standard value of the Hebrew word transcribed as ‘Yehoshua’ (which is also the standard value in English of the words ‘Second Coming’) is a centred pentagonal number.

3. The fractal snowflake form of the number 151, the ordinal value of the name ‘Jesus Christ’, has already been shown to play an integral part in the New Bible Code. However, the number 151 can also be displayed as a centred pentagram.

Interestingly, the numbers 11 and 911 are also centred pentagram numbers!

The Rose And The Cross
The centred pentagram above has slightly foreshortened points and thus resembles the physical form of a particular flower that has long been associated with the number 5 and its geometry: the rose. This has five petals at its base and in outline resembles a pentagon or pentagram. The ‘fiveness’ characteristic of all roses is best displayed in the wild rose, which generally has only five petals (5).

Christian symbolism associates the five petals of the rose with the wounds of Christ—the rose carrying precisely the same as symbolic meaning as the pentagram, which early Christians used as a symbol of the crucified Lord, before it was dropped in favour of the cross. For instance, writer Subrata Mukherjee says:
“The early Christians saw the five wounds of Christ in the five petals of the Rosa sancta. However, in view of the decadence connected with the Roman rose, the official Christian Church was reluctant to consider the rose a religious symbol. Only after much hesitation was the red rose declared a symbol of the blood of the martyrs.”
Despite this tentative beginning, the link between the rose and the crucified Christ is now so strong that two well-known esoteric societies have combined the rose and cross to create distinctive emblems.
The Rosicrucians
The Rosicrucians have as their emblem a stylised rose flower superimposed upon a cross.

The Rosicrucian Society Of The United States have this to say about the multilayered symbolism of the rose cross (6).
“In a Christian sense the cross signifies acceptance of sacrifice, suffering, and death as well as immortality.”
“The rose....is at once a symbol of purity and a symbol of passion, heavenly perfection and earthly passion; virginity and fertility; death and life. The rose is the flower of the goddess Venus but also the blood of Adonis and of Christ.”
“Numerologically, the rose represents the number 5. This is because the wild rose has 5 petals. And the petals on roses are in multiples of five. Geometrically, the rose corresponds with the pentagram and pentagon.”
The basic rose cross symbol is that of a rose appended to the junction of the two lines of the cross - the center point. But the traditional Rosicrucian symbol is a cross of 6 squares whereon is a red rose of five petals. The cross is of 6 squares for a number of reasons. It relates the cross to the number six which is the number of the Tree of rife Sphere to which it corresponds....also known as the Sphere of the Sun. The cross of six squares is also the unfolded cube of six faces.”
The cross, therefore, is a potent symbol of sacrificial suffering and death. The rose represents 5 and the pentagon or pentagram—and for Christians the red rose represents the blood of Christ. These ideas are strikingly reminiscent of my interpretation of the 9/11 event.
Freemasonry
Another organisation well known for utilising the combined rose and cross in its symbolism is freemasonry. Degrees 15 to 18 (southern jurisdiction) or 17 and 18 (northern jurisdiction) of Scottish rite freemasonry comprise a separate chapter known as the Rose Croix degrees. Degree 18 is called the ‘Knight Of The Rose Croix’ and its emblem features a rose growing out of a cross, with a pelican feeding its young on its own blood, and, on the obverse side, an eagle at the foot of the cross (all three symbolise Christ).
The number 18 may also be significant here, given that 9/11 was marked with the number 666. 18 is three sixes and Rev. 13:18 carries the infamous number.
The 18th degree represents a very significant stage in the spiritual growth of the freemason (7).
“This important Degree, of all the higher Degrees, is said to be the most widely diffused, being found in numerous Rites other than the Scottish....The name "Rose Croix" is derived from the emblems of the Rose and Cross.”
“The passage in the Song of Solomon which reads the "Rose of Sharon" is applied to Christ, symbolizing especially that through him "life and immortality were brought to light." Thus we have explained the origin of the Rose Croix as the name of the Degree which centers in and around Christ. The rose as a symbol of Christ and the cross as an emblem of his death untied on the Jewel of the Rose Croix point to the truth that through Christ the secret of immortality is revealed and through his death an immortal life of purity and happiness is made available.”
Again we see that the rose is Christ himself and that therefore the Rose Croix represents the crucified Lord. Although neither masonic or Rosicrucian tradition limits itself to purely Christian interpretations, both view the rose cross, at least in part, as symbolic of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and pointing towards the mystery of the Resurrection.
The Crucifix
Earlier in this page I showed how the outer shell of cube 343 can be unfolded to reveal a cross shape. If we now repeat the same procedure with the entire cube of 343 units, rather than just the outer shell, we reveal what you will now recognise to be a symbolic crucifix. This shows Jesus Christ, represented by cube 125, on the Cross, represented by the cross of 218 units.

Another crucifix could be made by unfolding cube 729, to show cube 343 (THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS) mounted on a cross of 386 units, but I think the point has been made.
The Eleventh Station
The Stations of the Cross are fourteen depictions of the Passion found in every Roman Catholic church, beginning with Jesus being sentenced to death and ending with His burial. Although the number of stations was fixed in 1731 by Pope Clement XII, the eleventh Station appears to prefigure 9/11. This station shows Jesus being nailed to the cross (the word ‘crucifixion’ is derived from two latin roots meaning ‘cross’ and ‘fix’), as depicted below.

The Two Criminals
Crucified alongside Jesus on Calvary were two criminals. Here is Luke’s mention of the criminals, which I found to be encoded with the number 11, the key that unlocks the meaning of 9/11.

32. Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.

The chapter and verse numbers, read as a single number, give 2332:
2332 .......................= 11 x 212
This is significant because in Luke’s mention of the criminals both the verse itself and the number derived from the chapter and verse are multiples of 11, whereas in the other gospel accounts, neither are. This is an example of a statistically-unlikely confluence of numbers from independant sources.
Another example is again the ordinal value of Matthew 23:32, which is the standard value of the name given only in Luke for the place of Jesus’ crucifixion.

In Matthew, Mark and John the area is known as ‘The Place of the Skull’; only in Luke is it called ‘the Skull’. This name is found in the very next verse: Luke 23:33.

Here we see the key number 11 encoded within a passage describing Jesus’ crucifixion.

In Signs Of The Times and above I show that the Pentagon and the twin towers served as pictograms for the numbers 5 and 11. Additionally, the summed ordinal values of the three individual targets is 511.

The digits of 5 and 11 also create the number 151, ordinal value of ‘Jesus Christ’! If the twin towers, in addition to representing the cross, symbolise the two criminals crucified alongside Jesus, 151 is then revealed as a kind of ideogram representing this idea.

The three strikes on 9/11 therefore represented the crucifixions of Jesus of Nazareth (the Pentagon) and the two criminals (the twin towers).
The Conclusion
I think I have established the following substantial links.
1. Links between the World Trade Centre and Jesus Christ, the two criminals and the Cross. The strands of these linkages are: the numerical values of words and phrases associated with both concepts; a geometric analogy; the timings of the strikes and the subsequent fall of the towers; encodings within the NIV Bible; the structure of the twin towers; the meaning of number 11 in biblical numerics.
2. A link between the Pentagon and Jesus Christ. The individual strands here are: the numerical values of words and phrases associated with both concepts; a geometric analogy; encodings within the NIV Bible; the structure of the Pentagon building; the association of the pentagon/pentagram with the wounds of Christ; the meaning of number 5 in biblical numerics and Christian tradition.
Now you can see that the meaningful connections undoubtedly forged between the World Trade Centre and the Cross and between the Pentagon and Jesus Christ had the magnificent purpose of conveying the following message about the event we call 9/11:
9/11 represented the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
The terrorist attacks that took place in New York and Washington D.C. on September the 11th, 2001AD, were a symbolic representation - a re-presentation - of the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, just outside Jerusalem at Passover in 33AD. Like the Crucifixion, 9/11 was a watershed event in history: we now use the terms ‘pre-9/11’ and ‘post-9/11’ in the same way as we say BC and AD.

I would like to summarise all that has gone before with a series of illustrations that show how the New Bible Code links the destruction of the twin towers and the damage to the Pentagon with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the historical event reenacted on 9/11.
